Founder of Mighty Effort
Growing up, trading cards were an exciting, memorable part of childhood. Basketball cards helped me connect with friends. Star Trek cards helped me connect with my brother. They were rewards for learning my multiplication tables, incentives for good behavior, gifts on the holidays, or a treat to use my hard earned cash on. I loved the thrill of finding a rare card, one my brother didn’t have, or one I knew my friend still needed.
As a parent, I was excited to share that same experience with my children. What I found instead were cards centered around domination, destruction, and defeating your opponent.
I couldn't help but feel there was a missed opportunity. We spend every waking moment teaching children kindness, empathy, responsibility, and cooperation, yet many of the products marketed to them celebrate the opposite.
When I couldn't find what I wanted I decided to create it myself.
Noble Animals gives kids everything they love about trading cards — collecting, characters, connection— and giving parents something they can feel genuinely good about.
What makes Noble Animals different isn't just the stories with lessons — it's the format. A trading card lives in a pocket, gets carried to school, traded with a friend, pulled out and reread. Every time a child explains a virtue to someone else, talks about their favorite character, trades with a friend, the lesson lands again and again. Character development becomes something kids return to on their own, through play, through friendship, through collecting.
The goal is giving kids a healthy relationship with growth. It's hard work to be a better human! But it's about growth, not perfection. The daily practice of becoming a little better than you were yesterday. And that's what Mighty Effort is all about.

The Mighty Effort Philosophy
The name Mighty Effort comes from a belief that growth happens both individually and collectively. There is ME, and there is WE. The effort we make in our own lives affects the people and environment around us. When one person grows in kindness, courage, generosity, or patience, everyone benefits. Small choices create ripples. When one of us grows, all of us gain.
What's Coming: Noble Animals
Our first collection, Noble Animals: Forest Edition, follows a cast of lovable animal characters as they navigate friendship, mistakes, courage, loss, generosity, and perseverance. Each story explores a virtue through relatable challenges, helping children see that growth doesn't come from being perfect—it comes from learning.
Vision
My hope is that these cards become more than collectibles. I hope they spark conversations between parents and children. I hope they encourage friendships. I hope they give kids positive role models they can remember when facing their own challenges. And maybe, one day, a child will share a card with a friend simply because that's what their favorite character would do.
